Old vines are strutting. 1884 or 1885. Just the sickest, purest black fruit ever. Same thing when tasting Desestret’s barrel of 140 year old Syrah. Black but opulent and refined. Same thing here. Palate is stoney and velvety wirh some thick blackberry and black current fruit. Unreal tannins on the finish. Nose is a drug now. 9.9. Outrageously black fruited, maybe even the most restrained anise ever. Deep, inner earth, minerality. Man.
