Got ahold of three of these allocated babies that get sold out every year by spring.
Volcanic must, spicy berries on the nose.
Wohooo what a mouth punch. Prickly on the tongue. Bracing acidity balanced with an earthy, breezy cherry and berry medley. An herbaceous, mint-adjacent undercurrent as well.
Both stunning, subtle in its way, and stunning in fruit quality and minerality

this is my second time trying this wine. the first i had with friends without food. it’s jammy w/ notes of strawberry, blackberry, cherry. it’s lightly carbonated, substantial acidity and some tannins. it is a mouthful.
i tried again with a rotisserie chicken and a cucumber salad. this is a wine for pairing with poultry. it’s good for a chicken dish, turkey. it is like liquid cranberry sauce.

Crisp raspberries. Refreshing but a little boring.
