Picked up a 2022 for $21 bucks at a boutique wine shop. Color reminds me of a ripe strawberry. The nose brings to mind a cheesecake with lots of fruit, cedar, and hint of cinnamon. The taste reminds me of the sweetness and tartness of cranberries; I also get plum and dark cherry. Mild tannins, and pleasant acidity. I’d buy 2 bottles—one to drink now and another to sit on for a few years just to see what happens. A nice bottle to be sure.

If you open your mouth after you drink it, it kind of taste old. You have to keep your mouth closed. Not my favorite, but I’m still going to drink it.

Another solid vintage of this consistently well made wine. Dark ruby/purple color. Intense aromas of blue and black fruit, red and purple flowers and wet stones. Blackberry, boysenberry and plum fruit on the palate with additional flavors of coffee and minerals. Long and earthy finish. Deep and dark concentration. Medium bodied and very silky tannin structure. Mouth watering acidity. Food friendly. Very good representation of the varietal. Thanks for sharing, Keith S!
