Clear, medium to deep ruby in color; on the nose it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of violets, cherries, and graphite on the nose; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced intensity primary and secondary flavors of blackberry, fig paste, and tar with a short finish. This wine is intense and complex. Bitter flavors stand out a bit. Overall, I rate this wine as good. Nellie likes it. It was better after about an hour.
