That’s your big boy. Lots of depth, dark roasted coffee, charred red peppers, dried figs, dried herbs, black licorice. Full body, med/full tannin, acid medium, alcohol high.

13’ Herman Story Nuts & Bolts Syrah. Pull the cork & let open up in your glass.
💯 Syrah. Popping purple color. Nose is not as appealing as the palate. Very approachable immediately & lighter in body than I expected. Don’t let that fool you though.
Boysenberry, raspberry, dark fruit liqueur, roasted coffee. Seamless cherry cola spice on the finish. What’s not to like.

Beautiful Syrah. All the telltale signs. Meaty with a lovely pipe tobacco, cherry nose. Some acidity still there in the palate. Nice finish. These wines just get better and better with age!

Super dark ruby red. Savory characteristics, especially black pepper with a good amount of black fruits. Very complex and well balanced with savory and fruit notes. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Mix of white and black pepper, dark berries, gamey and floral notes. Definitely has tons of potential. Long finish. Made of 100% Syrah and aged for 16 months in 80% new French oak barrels. Drink till 2026.

oh... Oh... OH... this just took a wrench to my hedonism dial. And it makes me wonder if Russell From tripped and accidentally dropped a jug of creme soda extract into the tank, and then said "fuck it... we're good."

I can imagine this is what it would have been like to be front row for AC/DC at Oakland Coliseum in July of 1979 (They released Highway to Hell the next week, and I was 11 days old). Only, you were listening to Wagner on headphones.

The undercurrent is deceptively strong, and distinctly Northern Rhone. Like snorting a violet flavored vitamin in a horse barn just before you dig into the charcuterie plate in front of you. I'm stopping, but this wine just keeps going.

Lots of interesting character...everything from incense to baking spice to the animal. A little hot...

Nice Syrah, lots of depth and character, front and middle are lovely, back end resolution nice but not perfect balance for me. I don't know that a 100% syrah can ever resolve in perfect balance for me. That said, it is better than good. Hefty, dark ruby, swagger. Watch out.. she bang: 15.7%. Big enough that it doesn't taste hot though
