Medium red in color. Red fruit, bay leaf and black pepper notes in nose. Briar, blackberry, cassis, (with time) sour cherry, mint and barrel smoke notes in mouth, seed tannin bitterness on finish, cherry berry aftertaste with mild skin astringency. Tart, but much improved, flavors well integrated versus original release of wine. Can still age this one, but drinkable now
