Deep dark purple. Thyme, laurel, lavender. Black olives. Tannins still pleasantly present. Masculine style wine. Cool, stid and tough. Red pepper. Acids still prominent. Not very sophisticated, but quite a character.

Although this showes some of the rustic roughness that I consider typical for the vintage, the palate has succulent fresh fruit, vivacity and tension. Lovely classic Bdx. Peak drinking, me thinks.
