The 2014 Red Wine Reserve bursts from the glass with a mentholated freshness as dusty rose and musky black cherries form its perfumed bouquet. The 2014 finishes energetically, buzzing with residual tension, as sour cherries and licorice tones slowly fade. Tried to create a lasting impression on my daughter before leaving us again, as she travels the world, with this Leonetti Reserve. Maybe it was just a blatant attempt of bribery to get her to stay.... The wine slowly released most of its dark deep secrets after decanting/in glas for nearly 2 hours. Blueberry, currant and dry fig carried by cigar box and mulberry spice. We were playing the board game Azul … and suddenly the wine was gone. Must have been one of those bottles again that didn’t have quite 750 ml.
