Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay

2005 vintage. Deep gold, almost orange. Intense nose with dried apricots, lemon confit, beewax, and walnut. More evolved than expected, with clear oxidative notes, but still a very nice drink, if not a great Batard.

Honey and on the edge of oxidative Apple notes. Honey and broad with a slightly bitter finish. Ok

Drank 2 bottles of this. First was very precise and energetic. Surprisingly fresh for an ‘05, not to memtion from Batard. 2nd bottle was more advanced but not overly so. Was more where I’d expect this wine to be. Deeper color and richness. Some @ dinner preferred this I’m not one of those folks but both were very nice. 94 and 92 points respectively. 2005 vintage.

It's 5 o'clock! As a friend said in Chicago recently, the bug has bit you why having dinner @ Les Nomades, and for past month it hasn't ceased. The nose is VERY expressive. The front mid & back palate are wonderful rich, yet balanced, & powerful, the finish lingers for sometime! Can go much longer

Great lemon curd. Some oil. So in balance. Oak present but not in way. Regal.
