Dark and punchy on the nose with grapey, slightly roasted plummy fruit. Quite high alcohol in the nose. Rich and pure Grenache on the palate. Chocolatey notes and a very smooth intense finish. Not too hot.

Hmmm...this Is the first 2007 CdP that I actually enjoyed so far. Dark fruit, licorice and relatively balanced compared to a couple of others that were hot messes. Paired with backyard Korean BBQ.

Nicely done 100% Grenache. Denser and more powerful than you'd normally get from this area, but still very graceful and nimble on the palate. Abd come on, it's Chapoutier.

Initially taken aback with too heavy fruit, this opened up and was a really great wine, close to profound.

Feb 26th, 2016I can't figure this wine out. Seems like the fruit character is hiding but the terroir is still reserved. Definitely drinkable though.
