Cumiss meaning merchant in arabeshe, Albanian dialect from the south of Italy...complicated story, but they have been there since the Russian conquered their land in the XVI century(i hope i am right).
The wine is mainly Magliocco dolce finished off with the malvasia nera and it has its character.
Full of spices, perhaps the fruit is not exactly in the front line, but a very interesting and pleasant local wine. I would match it with local cheeses and cured meats.
Fairly long.
Good bottle ageing on the bottles is a winery policy since the magliocco has plenty of generous tannin to soften up.
