Deep ruby color. Bright on the nose. Red fruit, like raspberry and cherry. Medium tannins and acid on the finish. Paired well with Bolognese.

Feb 23rd, 2024Deep ruby in color, but leaning towards purple; black cherries, blackberries, and graphite on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like tart cherries, crushed gravel, and maybe licorice with a long finish. A little too tart for me (and I like tart wines), but it may need to breath a bit longer.

Reliable producer: this was tasty but didn’t get any Ripassa notes, just a straight forward, dark fruit driven wine. Smooth, built for the international market, no rough edges… nothing wrong with this but uninspired - lacking nuance & complexity
