California Pinot Noir

Medium ruby hue. Aromas of cedar, cherry, oak, strawberry, vanilla. Medium body, with medium-plus tannins and medium acidity. Extracted and fruit-forward. Popular but otherwise lacking complexity or finesse. (Tasted in 2019.)

Smooth dry top shelf wine.

Tough wine to understand . First thought was this is not a Pinot noir. It reads to me more like a cab sav. The color is quite dark red, the nose dark cherries or strawberries. Medium/full bodied with hints of oak and red fruit with a sweet to acidic finish. Quite drinkable but not quite a Pinot noir if that is what you are after. Much too heavy handed. I definitely think it is worth the money but I would pair it differently with foods that could support the strong mouth having drank it.

Nice spicy and fruity balance! Quite embodied! A bit different than most Pinot Noirs I've tried!

This was a $15 bottle and I loved it. Will buy a case at that price

Strong ripe berries hit this wine hard always a great go to of the shelf wine to enjoy.
