Scruffy's Single Vineyard Shiraz

Sticky caramelized wood notes clash against sweetened fruits. No tannins.

Slight pepper notes, smooth fruit forward wine with medium tannins.

Tasty and drinkable

Decent but disappointing. Kind of one dimensional, fruity wine that leaves u with...meh.

14.0%abv. Spiced meat, I guess that's peppercorn, but other savory notes too for sure. Brambly red fruit, or maybe unripe blackberry in nose. Herbal... Eucalyptus? No/low sweetness, perception is dry but cooked and full body. Med- tannins. Med acidity.

Easy on the nose and up front. Lots of fruit flavors on the back end. A bit quirky... But fun!

Damn good with the elk and white tail deer meat granite slate fondue we had tonight. Picked up on isle browse, no knowledge - great surprise find.

Cranberries and currants, long finish.
