Quite elegantly red fruited, a bit of musk and savory notes, but surprisingly primary. Compared to the ‘89, this is lighter in structure, almost airy, but with years of life left.

1979 drinking about as well as can be expected. Fully mature, with deep savory flavors and aromas. Cork was saturated as you can see, but still lively on the tongue. Thanks for sharing Tim!

Smoke and tobacco on the nose, with hints of mint and eucalyptus. Tart cherries and savory, ripe tomates full out the palate, with peppercorn and cedar on the outer palate. Fine tannins and lovely acidity. I love it - beautiful. Drink now. Happy birthday, Dagan!
