Barolo Nebbiolo

“Please don’t call it regular”…. more bricking than expected at 10 years old. But tasted fresh. An hour decant helped.

Catching up on some camping weekend drinking posts. Lovely but young Barolo from a classic producer. A bit on the lighter bodied side for my taste but so drinkable - cherry and tobacco on the palate that is just perfect with grilled meats. Will let some of my bottles settle down longer but this is a nice wine to drink now.

Easy approachable, well balanced Barolo. Medium body, dark, earthy, aged fruits well integrated with very fine grained subtle tannins and spice for a satisfying finish.

Everything Nebbiolo should be. Roses and tar, oregano and savoury, red cherry and cranberry and currant. High tannin, acidic, medium body. Delicious.

Has a full fragrance of cherry and strawberries…
Drinks incredibly smooth and light! Is light to medium bodied with juicy flavors.

August 14, 2021. Dinner w/ Jack D, he brought the wine. Decanted 1 hour. Young but so good.
