Ponzo Vineyard Zinfandel Petite Sirah

Tart, sweet, fruit forward, strawberry, cherry, blackberry, and tobacco...96% Zin 4% Petite Syrah.

Awesome with homemade pizza with pepperoni and jalapeños.

Long legs.

Bright blue and red fruit that jumps out of the glass. Ridge again showing it's mastery of the Zin grape.

I don’t drink zin but ridge always intrigued me. Ponzo here is low tannin with pleasant off-dry tastes that bring dried plum to the front of the palette. Incredibly high alcohol can be justified only if you add food.

Medium bodied. Extremely smooth. Well balanced but still had a surprising amount of fruit for a 2010.

Medium body with a slight hint of sweet berries. I would buy more

Good with Stilton blue cheese. Enjoyed with Clem.
