Writing this note rather after the fact (I have quite a few to catch up on). Gorgeous, classic styled Barbaresco. Nothing overt stands out. Just beautifully balanced and pretty much the ideal of what a Barbaresco should be.

The 2012 Pajè VV is a beauty. Layered, elegant, nuanced but not lacking in power. Tart strawberry, humidor, baking spices, rose and more. Still vibrant with years to go.

This is drinking very young with its muscular & tannic structure showing dried herbs, licorice, mineral, rose petal & tobacco notes. Great wine that just needs more time.
