Into the neck fill. Tawny and transparent in the glass. Looks younger than it is. Great nose. Notes of sweet blackberry, cedar box, fig, molasses, cranberry and currant. Very complex. In the mouth it’s still got a bunch of fruit with balanced acidity and structure. Lasting finish. At 40 years old this still seems youthful. Wow. Blew away our expectations.

Wow. It's been a while since I've had a wine that was so soft and together at the same time. Good acid, nice little anisette leathery redfruit thing going. Awesome from a 1.5L

Drinking very well at 35 years of age! Very clean black fruit with balsamic and stinky earth. Love it!

1978 vintage. Decent fill. Opened with a Durand. Cork approx 65% saturated. Decanted with slightly less than expected sed. Cassis, “brickishness” and earth on the nose. Color a more vibrant purple than anticipated. Medium body overall but a lighter, Burgundian intro. Tasted multiple times over the course of 2.5 hours. Lean brushy described the flavors at the conclusion of the experience. Not completely sure this was an accurate representation of where this wine actually is as a whole. Need another bottle to confirm/deny/change impressions. Anyone care to make a donation? 6.12.26.
