May 21st, 2016OOOH. Jewel clear and leggy. More dank on the nose than I expected: the oak is a serious player here. Smooth, full, juicy and fruity on the palate. Tannins are shy but perfectly appropriate. The finish blooms delectably from rich earthy red and black fruit to caramelly vanilla oak goodness. The fruit and toffee linger with some tannin structure in mutually beneficial harmony for a long sweet finish. Blindfolded I'd guess this commanded a serious price tag from the depth, smoothness and length. $11 is insanity! If I see it anywhere in Nashville I'm buying them out.
