Reached back in the cellar for this one. The cork was totally saturated - was really nervous that the wine was dead - but it was spectacular. Could not believe how well this was drinking at 30 years. And it persisted for the entire time we enjoyed this on Friday night (along with a killer grilled flat iron steak). Totally old-school Napa…and it was fantastic!

opened up nocely after one hour in decanter. sweet leather note in aroma with black cherry notes. still vibrant on the oalate with slightly coarse notes in finish. fruit lingers well. very nice wine approaching its plateau but still plenty of life.
