While in Santa Barbara wine country, I visited about seven vineyards across three days.
I had to stop by Sandhi in the so-called “wine ghetto” (warehouse district) of Lompoc in Santa Rita Hills.
These guys were awesome. I got a tour through the vineyards of Domaine de la Côte. I got to see where Pinot noir and Chardonnay vines take root.
Beautiful sites in the mountains and valleys.
Bought a mixed case of my favorites home with me.
Fruit character of lemon peel, quince, and the minerality of the pacific coast breeze is wafting off the bouquet.
Long finish of fruit character: lemon curd, grapefruit, orange leaf, and flinty goodness.
