Golden hay color and initially shy but interesting aromas of blanched almond, yellow apple, ripe Bartlett pear, eucalyptus, and celery that peak through as the wine warms.
The profile though is significantly richer, rounder and has oily abundant flavors of yellow apple and almond underneath a dusting of vanilla spice (from significant time spent in barrel).
It’s shy upfront but the palette is powerful and even slightly hot.

I appreciate it for what it is, but a bit too flabby for me. I need a bit more uplifting acidity.
