Sipping Fine Wine

Located in cool Sonoma Coast viticultural region, founded in 1973 by Brice Cutrer Jones, now owned by big wine. Pale lemon color with stone fruit aromas, citrus and spice notes. On the palate apple and peach flavors, savory with nutty caramel flavors. Creamy texture, medium finish ending with mineral tones.

This wine has a yellow-gold color in the glass. The nose has plenty of citrus mineral aromas with a blast of apple, pear and pineapple smells. The palate is full and fruity, with enough oak spice to make one think of old time California Chardonnay. There is not enough to make one think too long about it, though. The acidity is sharp and the finish is all lemon.

Citrus, but mellow and not too acidic. Decent oak. Not bad. Not super complex but enjoyable. OOPS, just had it again a week later and much too oaky. Taking a point off.
