Earthy rich deep red and black berries, strong but well integrated tannins, tea, walnuts, long finish. Acidity. I think there is a bit of vanilla in the cocoa on the tail but my wife said find someone who will confirm that because she couldn’t. This has many years to go before prime time. Mmmmm. Smoky, earthy, rich, dense, smooth. Tea, raisins, tobacco notes, reasonably integrated structure with some heft. Nothing like a good 15 year old Aglianico with the mouthfeel and finish of a young Amarone. — 9 days ago

I thought I got a hint of apple compote with a light cinnamon. On the tongue it was persimmon and maybe acacia honey, but not too sweet. A good shot of acidity cutting through and minerality. — 9 days ago
