This is a dead ringer for a mature Pessac-Leognan. Nose features intense cigar box, sweet cassis, sandalwood, and humus. Broad and soft mouth feel, with mature dark red fruit and lots of sandstony minerality.

Glad I picked up a bunch of these from Costco a few years ago. Great value! Looking forward to enjoying for the next few years. Don’t think this is a long term lay down but over next five years a great mid week bottle.

The review mentioning movie theater buttered popcorn over a blackberry crumble had me questioning that person’s sanity, then I smelled it again and SHE’S RIGHT DAMMIT. Couldn’t believe it. Anyway this is a great wine.

The 16 Artemis on the nose is a vanilla pine (makes no sense). Smooth silky on the tongue ending in a sour cherry with light to medium tannins. This is drinking great now.
