L wonderful flavors of cinnamon and spice cherries, and some dried fruit. It has good tannins . Pours a kind of clearish dark red initially. Which is a little deceiving. This is the last of the bottles from my parents’ collection that I inherited from them of this particular wine. It went well with the grass fed New York steaks we paired it with. the cork initially broke upon removal. The wine was probably not stored properly for a few years of its life. But I managed to get the rest of the cork out and enjoy it.

This vineyard has been a favorite of my parents for a long time. We were treated to this excellent bottle for Thanksgiving this year. Nicely structured tannins balanced with interesting flavors of dried fruit, Cocoa and, vanilla sugar. You wouldn’t think of pairing a heavier wine like this with Thanksgiving dinner, but it worked because it was so good. I’m glad Mom and Dad kept a few of these older bottles around.
