Intense as the eye of the owl. This is a well assembled mouth-coating wine. It’s for a cold snap of a night - something to battle the weather. Dark, deep, and intense. Needs a fatty steak or creamy stew to match the richness. Appreciated for beautiful violets, dark berries, saddle leather, sage, mint, and menthol on the nose. The palette shows Syrah typicity- smokey jerky, fruit leather, and dark berries. Beautifully concentrated and bold, but with a soft mouth.
Drink for when whiskey would do just as well.
