Martinenga Langhe Nebbiolo
Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy
Unoaked Nebbiolo- a little chill on it and it siiiings. Bright red cherry fruit with just a hint of juniper and earthy anise. Hits like a really tart pinot noir, but palate is pleasantly grippy with high acidity. Bringing to thanksgiving

Beautiful aromatics. Tons of floral note. Subdued and well-integrated tannin. Great Langhe Nebb.

Dark cherry, plum, cassis leading to a dry, slightly bitter (in a very good way) finish.

Much more Pinot / Gamay Noir than "Barolo" - good acid, tart cherries, mushrooms, anise, medium body. Good food-friendly Nebbiolo.

Have I had this before? Bright red fruit on the nose. Pinot Noir, or almost carbonic, like Gamay, & the pretty ruby color! The acid and tannic structure, though, so Nebbiolo. It's too fun & fresh to be anything more "serious" than Langhe.
