Tenute Sella
Bramaterra Nebbiolo Blend

Big tar & rose petal wine with plenty of acid and tannins... plus a level of black pepper and edginess that likely originate from the Croatina and Vespolina added to the 70% Nebbiolo. Alto Piemonte. Better on Day 3 ... must decant. This was a polarizing wine in our small tasting group.

Delicious, although a bit of a palate shock after a day of tasting Sonoma wines. Brisk and delineated, will drink well for another handful of years or more .

Jan 8th, 2017Not super pleasurable, but interesting. Piercingly mineral, low pH/high acid. Some bloodiness. Kind of like Nebbiolo x Syrah from a cool place. Needs a lot of time

Rickety from unfortunate Miami heat, but still resilient. Nice.

re that thing about the bitter note in Italian wine: this only really opened up for me once I started eating the radicchio.
