Our first wine in Santiago, this is a pretty good example of a carmeniere. Not a great wine, but has an interesting earthy nose with aromas of dried cherries and leather (the latter giving it a much more aged character to it despite being only 3 years old). Overall, a decent start to our Chilean wine (I mean, scientific) trip.
