Vincent Dauvissat
Les Preuses Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay
Chablis, Burgundy, France
Straw color, noticeably lighter in color and weight versus the older Raveneau. Fruity nose, which is also apparent in the mouth and representative of the vintage. You can see the style difference from the Rav. No signs of advanced age in this one. Very nice. Will like to see this in 5-10 years to see where it goes.

Jan 15th, 2018Strike 3 , at least the finish had the telltale crushed seashells but outside of that totally devoid of anything positive.

The palate is a little on the "fat" side but this is a function of the vintage. In the mouth a great combination of rich fruit and good acidity. It is on the finish that you know you are drinking chablis as sea brine and oyster shell appear.
