Apr 1st, 2014It has held up, but I’m glad to have opened it sooner rather than later. Wonderful complement to fish and meat on the grill.

Sep 17th, 2018A big year at 14.4% so that sweet red fruit is starting to fade and lose acidity, with air it gained interest with rose petals and that chalky quartz. It was a delight to drink from a great vineyard. Not built to improve at this point and it seems this period of WS was more for immediate pleasure and that time has passed.

This magnum was a nice pair with Thanksgiving turkey. 2006 was a weird vintage in Sonoma but I like the feminine pinots that were produced -- they're drinking well eight years later.
