My first Croatian wine. Similar to a cool climate Zinfandel or Syrah but less body and more peppery. Grippy tannins. Lots of minerals with more subtle fruit flavors of tart cherries, unripe blackberries, juniper, and licorice. — 2 months ago
Umbria on my drinking through my book on Italian wines. Like the white, unique regional wine made of 70% sangiovese, 15% typical red varietal of Abruzzo, 15% particular vine native to Montefalco. I'm going to guess these latter two are montepulciano and sagrantino, but clearly they didn't want us to know for sure.
Classic cherry profile of sangiovese with funkiness and earthiness. Bits of dried fruit. — 2 months ago
Powerful for an American Riesling, showing lots of minerals and even a bit of petrol overlaying floral, lemon, and lime aromas. As dry as advertised. Not as heavy bodied as its overseas or Washington State counterparts, likely because of the cooler climate. — 24 days ago
Strawberries, rose petals, Thai tea, dried orange peel, nutmeg, and earth. Lovely finish. With the price of Barolo and Barbaresco going through the roof, this is a great alternative getting plenty close for half the price.
Previously tried 2017 but forgot to write my tasting notes down. — 2 months ago
Lemon tart (butter, pie crust, ripe lemon) backed by chalk. Outstanding Chard blended with Grachetto.

Outstanding QPR wine showcasing aromas of currants, blueberry compote, raspberry preserves, soy, graphite, and hints of green bell pepper and cracked peppercorns. — a month ago
Intriguing cool climate Cab Franc. Solid structure and aromas of red currant preserves and silica soils. Drinks very easy but seems a bit overpriced for the experience. — a month ago
Starting to show signs of aging with aromas of Luxardo cherries, dried figs, vanilla, and earth. Solid wine. — 2 months ago
Very much enjoyed this. Graphite, red currants, earth. — 2 months ago
