This is a Cabernet Sauvignon for the masses. Unpretentiously on par for any collector of rat pornography, Red Lobster memorabilia, a philanthropic patron of koala chlamydia treatment or activist taking on coal barons. There might be better but none have the charisma of a horse channeling John Oliver, John Cena’s twin separated by a quirk in the space-time continuum. Not the greatest of Bordeaux vintages (I remember a lot of rain!) but the great Chateaux made less and made it well. 21 years on, this wine has all the hallmarks of the greatest Clarets. Incredible concentration despite a moderate 12.5% alc. and incredible youth & fresh activist too. A rare joy. — 11 years ago
