Tastes like grapes. Doesn’t smell as inviting but the taste more than makes up for it. Label says dry but generally kind of sweet. Great, subtle, everything you want in a casual glass of wine. — 5 years ago

Surprisingly good! Warm. Oaky. Almost a dark chocolate/ blueberry finish. — 8 years ago
Nice light cherry color with a slight Browning on the rim. Soft tannins and subtle amounts of oak with good integration. Even with 30% new oak.
Loving the wines from Alexandra at the moment. — 8 years ago

Alexandra Zuckerman introduced me to this. First natural wine experience, I think. Always good! — 8 years ago
Very delicious smooth Syrah. Spices, oaky, forest floor. Very drinkable. — 3 years ago
Bottle compliments of Ken and CIG’s 30th; opened during Moxie’s soft opening at Alexandra House. Danny is drinking solo as he has been since June (counting the days until cleared to drink again) — and comments include, “it gets better the colder it is; I like French and New Zealand SB more; it doesn’t have the acidity we are used to...” Most importantly, tonight we toast to Josie as we wrap our head around what 22 August will forever mean to us. We have one other bottle; will confirm rating when we both can share the bottle. — 5 years ago

Color : Rosé
Wine estate : Philippe Cordonnier
Designation : Bourgogne
Name : Cuvée Alexandra
Country : France
Vivino : 4.5/5
Note : Yes, this rosé is orange! But only for the 2016 which is a marvel! Unfortunately no longer available for sale (I took the last 12 bottles...). A fruity nose on apricot (hmmmmmm), citrus fruits like peach and roundness tied to Pinot Noir. In the mouth, very greedy and more complex than a simple rosé of Provence. We can feel the intensity of the pinot that stands out. Always a delight to taste. — 8 years ago
Saw an ‘08, so I grabbed it and wanted to see how it tasted. Founded by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994. The Marnier Lapostolle family are founders and owners of the world-renowned liqueur Grand Marnier. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Carmenere, dark red almost purple with berry fruit and lively citrus notes. Raspberry and blackberry flavors with cacao and cedar tones, well balanced, full ripe tannins. Lingering finish ending with oak and fruit notes. Still tasting well! — 8 years ago
Ira Schwartz

I was unaware of this cuvée. This is only the 10th time it’s been released since its inauguration in 1982. Lots going on. Upon pouring, the bubbles disappeared quickly. A powerful nose of strawberry, cherries and florals yet I do not feel this was fully open.
In the mouth citrus like acidity. Builds in the mouth but in a restrained way. Very vinous. Creamy texture with layers of red fruit, toast and spice vacationing in your mouth. Deceptively elegant texture . — 4 months ago
