Asher Winery Petite Syrah / Cabernet Sauvignon / Petit Verdot Blend 2012
Dark Ruby in color with a ruby / Purple Rim.
Fruity on the nose with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, Oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, earth, forest floor, eucalyptus and black pepper.
Full-bodied with nice legs and medium acidity.
Fruity on the palate with blackberries, cherries, Oak, blueberries, raisins, figs, licorice, Earth, chocolate, espresso and peppercorn.

This is a great red blend. Elegant and smooth and great by itself or with grilled meats.
Grapes were hand-picked and are from the Judea Hills, in Israel. From a very small Winery that produces around 2000 bottles a year.
Needs at least 1 hour in a decanter to fully blossom.
I had it with the very hospitable winemakers, which only added to the experience.
Aged for 12 months in French Oak barrels.
14% alcohol by volume. — 10 years ago
2003, decanted, no sediment at all. Beautiful color. The nose was incredible. So much vanilla, cigar box. Wish it had been a magnum. Shared by my father to welcome my son Asher. — 3 years ago
Asher bought this Morgon for Louis. It’s delicious — 6 years ago
This wine was a big hit last evening with Asher after he got a pinky-taste. This morning he asked for “wine please.” (Uh-oh) While I’m inclined to reward such politeness it seemed a bit early in the day. The wine itself? A bigger and more forward style of Chardonnay than I normally gravitate to but can’t fault the quality and balance. The grapefruit, lemon curd, pineapple creme brûlée and moderate toast should meld beautifully with some more time. — 7 years ago

Happy Mother’s Day! Much like our son, this wine has a long and happy life ahead of it. But, also not unlike Asher, I ran out of patience. I mean, just look at that brooding inky violet going on in the glass. Still mostly locked down under a stone-faced countenance but a little air coaxes out some dark berries, leather, herbs, lavender and a hint of that famous animalistic quality. This probably gains another half point in a decade or so — 8 years ago
This is the special 2004 Naima 'Peter Willburger Settembre, 1994 dal cicio 'Le Coste' aquaforte, puntasecca carta giapponese' Hand delivered by Bruno when my son Asher was 3 days old in March 2009. Bruno is living classic Italian History... You can meet him, hear about the philosophical beauty of Cilento or drink this perfect bottle that is more towards the feminine aromas of aglianico with demure tannins and a Capello acidity...in love and so excited to capture this moment of this bottle.. ❤️❤️❤️ — 10 years ago
