Dark fruit on nose, soft tannin. Very good. — 5 years ago
terrible days in Israel.
an Israeli off dry riesling and that's a change.

medium to full body.
high acidity.
white flowers, lemon rind and leaves, lime, peach, green apple peel and hints of ginger.
on it's own sweetness is hinted.
combined with not too spicy indian style veggie take away it felt much sweeter and lifted the cuisine.

Super rich, dry tannic Kosher Cabernet Sauvignon with dark cherry and spice notes, from Galilee, Israel (Roche) — 8 years ago
Suprsingly good, and I don't normally buy kosher wine. Tastes like a solid regular Malbec. — 9 years ago
continue my run of fantastic Israeli wines: reminiscent of St Emilion - inky deep dark wafting generously of blackberry & plum, ripe rich decadent, vanilla & licorice, earthy, bell pepper, graphite, clay - very classy cut w/harmoniously integrated tannins on palate, paired well with/ribeye - really delivers for price point — 7 months ago

an Israeli cab surprisingly survived 13 years after harvesting.
they say 2011 was a great vintage, so it helps.
nothing spectacular, I'm guessing the wine started ok-ish and nothing more.
hinted tannins at the back.
high acidity.
lots of 🍒 (jam with preserved sugared whole cherries), some chewing tobacco, assorted spiced greens and a little dirt.
for the sake of science, a great experience. — 2 years ago
(French) colombard used to be the most planted white variety in Israel. used as the white blend workhorse. lost it's popularity a few decades ago and now being used again.
most winemakers consider it a fresh not to be aged crisp week day quality sipper.
this is my second try, the other one was ok-ish.

This wine has a straw color with light green highlights. The nose is unremarkable, with barely a hint of lemon and flowers coming up from the glass. The palate comes on strong, by comparison. There are notes of Meyer lemon, white nectarine, apricot, and peach., all readily available. The acidity is quite fresh, but there is quite a bit of oak spice. This surprised me, considering the exposure to oak was only six months. — 4 months ago
