An excellent aged Cabernet to go with a Scotch Fillet at the local pub in Sorrento on Boxing Day night. Domaine A is living proof that Tasmania does get enough sunshine to ripen Cabernet Sauvignon. All the classic Cabernet descriptors - Cassis Tomato bush, and Tobacco leaf to the fore here. Medium weight with resolving tannins. — 2 years ago
Slightly off dry. Good minerality. We all liked it. With Peter and Julie in Sorrento. — 4 years ago
Terrific! This was the only red wine offered at LAntica Trattoria in Sorrento and I agree with them it's the only one needed! — 7 years ago
Smoky. Rich. Coffee notes. Yum. — 8 years ago
Although obviously not filtered, this beer from a very aggressive Boutique Brewery in Italy is pretty darn delicious. Claims to be an IPA although it would fail under American Standards. This is definitely more of a pale wheat or unfiltered Pale Ale, but it's still delicious. The Hop has a slight brett character to it. I am not only getting a little bit of wheat but also a little bit of orange rind. The beer finishes with a little bit of a hop bite. This beer finished a little bit flat in my opinion. Definitely not as torqued up as an IPA from stone or Dogfish Head. I don't know why I was expecting something much darker to come out of the bottle? The aftertaste is really what made me rate this one at 8.9! — 9 years ago
Compania region wine enjoyed in Sorrento, Italy — 10 years ago
2022 vintage. One of the best Rosso Di Montalcino wines I’ve had since our romp through Montalcino enroute to Sorrento in the summer of 2017. Excellent Sangiovese, pleasant floral aromas of black cherry on the nose, vibrant ruby red colors on the initial pour, soft tannins and a delicately structured taste with a light finish; not as harsh as a Brunello, this vintage is perfect. Continued to open up after the first hour, this paired extremely well with a spicy pasta and meatballs dish. Would enjoy again. — a month ago
Very good Shiraz in Sorrento Italy. On the lighter side for Shiraz. Paired well with lasagne bolognase — 4 years ago
So easy on a Sorrento afternoon — 4 years ago

J'adore.

The local Sorrento red wines make for great table wines. We always had them chilled, and they paired very well with various meals. Anglianico, blended with other local grapes. — 4 years ago
From the odd bins collection in my cellar. Dark dense Ruby in colour. Aniseed, ripe Blackberry, dried red fruits, full bodied and a bit rustic. For lovers of full bodied McLaren Vale Shiraz. Probably a better winter red. — 4 years ago
Wonderful wine we had in Sorrento Italy. Very nice flavor for a local wine. I would highly recommend it. — 8 years ago
Milky. A tad sweet. Double IPA leaning. — 9 years ago
First wine of our Italy 2017 trip! Enjoying this with an amazing view high above Sorrento. Dark berry, clear, no sediment, medium+ viscosity on the eye. Nose sees tart cranberries, ripe strawberries, copper, some manure. Palette sees almost ripe, raw cherries, medium acid, medium tannins - but a lot more than you'd expect from an Italian wine, perhaps. You also get the feeling of little bubble on your tongue (although these are none). Finish is medium length, medium complexity. The balance of the fruity nose with some interesting inorganic notes paired with a more "straight ahead" Italian red with more tannins is a great combo. An enjoyable start to Campagna! — 9 years ago

Wine no 2 re Italian adventure, another cracking wine from Whelan's, bioorganic, medium body, more depth on the taste than PN, we are now well armed for Sorrento. — 12 days ago
