🌱 Champagne Bourgeois‑Diaz is a biodynamic grower‑producer in the Marne, crafting champagne with purity, intention, & zero makeup. Husband & wife team, Jérôme & Charlotte, work their vineyards in harmony with nature, while also taking a lower-intervention approach in the winery.
✨ In this way, each bottle gives voice to the growing environment surrounding their vines.
👁️ Beginning with a vibrant color in the glass, this wine offers a sense of vitality and verve. Glowing hints of gold might speak to a higher proportion of reserve wines in the blend or perhaps the influence of oak (50% oak, 50% stainless steel) in the winemaking process.
👃 The aromas and flavors remind me of apple crisp, quince paste, marzipan, toast, brioche, blanched almond, nougat, lemon curd, white peach, raspberry coulis, papaya skin, chalk, white blossom, wet stones, & oyster shell.
😋 On the palate, this wine is bone dry, with zero dosage, a steely acidity that builds tension with the creamy mousse & mouthfeel, a medium body, medium alcohol, followed by a long, elegant finish.

My last bottle of the 2015 Enfant Jesus. Showing better than our last tasting which was unimpressive to be honest. Still tasting somewhat new World in this warm 2015 vintage. A bracken like brambley note coming through together with violet/rose florals. Enjoyable but not worth the money. Cannot see this improving with further cellaring. — 4 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Bright Ruby, complex fruit aromas, spice and woodsy oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry fruit, cacao, herbs, floral and spice. Big firm chewy tannins, medium+ finish, ending with mineral earthy tones, a nice wine to Sip!! — 2 months ago
