This needed a few hours of air to wake up but came out swinging after! Tropical fruits and slate mixed together with an oily texture and nice acidity. Not quite at the level for me of the Singerriedel but still very enjoyable! — 6 days ago

Nice experience but not worth the money. Strong initial funk that eventually gave way to some fruit. Silky mouth feel but so many better wines for less money. — 7 days ago

Wow @Andrew McIntyre, I never knew Palmer was doing a blanc!?

@Doug Powers yes but its not your traditional white Bordeaux and more a somewhat random cuvee. Like i said: nice to try and experience but wouldnt necessarily recommend

Have wanted to try this vintage for ages and was worth the wait. Moussè perfekt and starting to take on more caramel notes. Lovely — 7 days ago

@Bob McDonald an exceptional wine and an absolute privilege to drink. Hard to envisage a champagne tasting better. Slightly bittersweet knowing that...

Always amazing. Drunk alongside 94 Latour and 97 Margaux this was the best for me. Still packed with fruit this is aging really well! — 7 days ago

I'll take Haut-Brion vs the other four 1st Growths every single time. Good, great, meh, shizzy vintages. Less expressive but more enduring. Perfect/ideal body.

@Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego think you would get on great with my wife. She says the exact same thing every time we drink it

@Andrew McIntyre The hilarious thing is that the Haut-Brion is always the least impressive initially vs the others. Sure…Lafite nor Margaux are not exactly super-masculine but (usually) still throw out more palate love regardless of age/vintage. The power of both Mouton and Latour impresses to a certain point but doesn’t always hide all the flaws. The Haut-Brion is less concerned with hiding flaws and more down with the experience.

Good QPR wine that is slowly entering its drinking window. Fruit forward with dark berries and blackcurrant. Went well with lasagne. Would recommend and buy again. — 25 days ago
