@Doug Powers yes but its not your traditional white Bordeaux and more a somewhat random cuvee. Like i said: nice to try and experience but wouldnt necessarily recommend

Cru Classe de Graves Pessac - Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 1996

I'll take Haut-Brion vs the other four 1st Growths every single time. Good, great, meh, shizzy vintages. Less expressive but more enduring. Perfect/ideal body.

@Andrew McIntyre The hilarious thing is that the Haut-Brion is always the least impressive initially vs the others. Sure…Lafite nor Margaux are not exactly super-masculine but (usually) still throw out more palate love regardless of age/vintage. The power of both Mouton and Latour impresses to a certain point but doesn’t always hide all the flaws. The Haut-Brion is less concerned with hiding flaws and more down with the experience.

This needed a few hours of air to wake up but came out swinging after! Tropical fruits and slate mixed together with an oily texture and nice acidity. Not quite at the level for me of the Singerriedel but still very enjoyable! — 6 days ago
