A subtley spicy number. Smooth and dark, yummy treat from Tim enjoyed with NFL and plenty of cheese. — 5 years ago
Heavy red fruit and vanilla. The oak and fruit mesh seamlessly. Nice tannin and acid structure, everything perfectly in balance. Maybe lacking complexity but super enjoyable. — 5 years ago
Age really made a difference. Really drinking nice right now. — 4 months ago
A very competent Rioja Reserva recommended by an Argentine friend for tapas meal out. Bright & confident in its cherry & vanilla notes, with enough barrel age to round it out & give some balsamic- as in aged, quality balsamic-depth. Kind of like a haircut that doesn’t surprise or disappoint. And a decent restaurant bottle under 40$ is always a good thing… — 3 years ago

A very nice experience drinking this. Might have been a touch better 5-10 years ago around the 15-20 year mark (and was great around ‘08-‘12) but despite a disintegrated cork is still a very nice wine with a beef dish. Have one more of the ‘01 and will have to open it within the next year. — 4 months ago
