Bonnaire is an OG RM from the village of Cramant; growing and producing their own Champagne for nearly 100 years! Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2017 from “Le Bateau” lieu dit, pours a light straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of bright orchard fruit, white flowers and laser cut minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Opened with air. Quite light , green hints . White flowers , citrus , touch of mineral also , chalk dust and yeasty notes . Quite lean with pretty high chalky acidity, touches of citrus, those yeasty elements come back on the finish . Pretty good length . Super Complex, layered, honeyed, smooth. Honeyed-Apple- brioche. Well balanced attack with an impressive length. So so good. 2008 was a great year! Fantastic degustation at the domain in Cramant. I love this house for their amazing grand cru Chardonnay in the Côte de Blancs. — 9 years ago
