Seule la finale de longueur moyenne trahissait son rang de Villages. Malheureusement ma dernière! 91-92

Very nice floral and red fruit scents, strawberries and raspberries that we find also on the palate that is fresh, elegant, nice dosage of acidity and that gorgeous fruit, nice QPR and very good.

Beau nez floral, terreux un peu et du fruit rouges, fraises entre autres et framboises. La bouche est tout aussi belle, fraîche et fine, du fruit à revendre, acidité bien dosée et une belle finale, très bon et un beau rapport qualité prix.

Muted nose, earthy tones and slight oak after a quick decant and with some time in the glass, this oak is not excessive and we find it on the powerful bodied palate as well, good acidity and freshness to support these strong but still approachable tannins, the finish is a tad rustic for now, but this has potential and I won’t touch my other bottles for 2-3 years. 89-90

Nez assez discret, terreux et une touche boisée à l’aération, on retrouve ce bois en bouche aussi, sans être excessif, acidité bien dosée et la bouche a un profil puissant et assez tannique, mais appuyée par un certain velouté des tannins, pour l’instant la finale est un brin rustique mais se boit très bien en l’état, tout en ayant je pense un beau potentiel si on l’attend au moins 2-3 ans. 89-90 — 6 years ago

Flowery on the nose, slightly earthy but dominating red fruit and a touch oaky. The palate is pretty nice, medium bodied with nice dosage of acidity and fine grained tannins, the finale is nice with red fruit and a touch though of dryness. Pretty good despite the youth, preferred the 2016 and 2014 drank recently, but very glad to have many bottles in the cellar that will sit a few years. 90-91 for now.

Nez avec une touche florale, du fruit rouge, un peu terreux et un peu de boisé. La bouche est avenante, acidité présente mais bien dosée, tannins aux grains fins mais un peu asséchante en finale, compte tenu de la jeunesse. Bien aimé mais moins profond que les 2016 et 2014 bu récemment. Content d’en avoir plusieurs en cave qui attendront. — 6 years ago

Had to give this wine I used to buy in many vintages another shot, thanks to the comments from the Gevrey Villages Horizontal organized by @Hanibal

It didn’t disappoint, a slightly earthy nose with spices and wild berries. The wine is delicious, tension in the mid palate with lingering slightly tangy yet still pleasant tannins on the finish. Great price also for this Villages. 90-91

Nez épicé, terreux avec des arômes de cassis et de baies sauvages. Une bouche délicieuse, belle acidité avec des tannins appuyés mais de belle texture malgré une touche asséchante en finale qui est somme toute agréable, peu de GC Villages de ce niveau à ce prix. — 6 years ago
