2016 vintage. "Forces de Vie" is the top wine of this biodynamically farmed 22 hectares estate, and it is amazing. Mainly Merlot (85%) with Cabernet Sauvignon. According to the website it is aged in 100% new oak, which is hard to believe as it is so well-integrated. Give it time to open up, as this seems build to age. Classy nose with ripe black cherries, cassis, flowers, very subtle cedar wood and a distinctive mineral touch. Very elegant and profound, it combines power and subtlety.
