Pale lemon with aromas of fresh stone fruits, citrus and salty floral notes, made with the Cortese grape. On the palate flavors of pear, apple and lemon citrus with lively acidity and blossom notes. Medium savory finish ending with citrus and salty mineral character. — a month ago
Light, crispy, and smooth. Doesn’t taste like cheap wine, but affordable $15 — 3 months ago
Aug 2025: aeration in open bottle for 2 hours while sipping. Great representation of Nebbiolo, traditional style, Barolo-like. Very deep and powerful, superb. Still potential for further aging — 8 years ago

Presented double-blind at Tasting Group. The wine pours a slightly hazy garnet color with a translucent core and some rim variation; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears and light signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous, with notes of ripe and desiccated red fruit: Morello cherry, dried roses, tar, tobacco, leather, gravelly earth, and exotic spices. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose where the fruit showed quite a bit of power. The finish is long. Alcohol is elevated but calling it medium+. This is delicious.
Initial conclusion: this could be Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Granache or Pinot Noir from Italy, France or Spain. Because the tannins were absolutely ripping, and there was no staining, I was leaning Nebbiolo. Additionally, the secondary characteristics along with a strong core of fruit had me thinking this was close to 30 years old from a solar vintage. So I called Nebbiolo, from Italy, from Piemonte, Barolo from a traditional-leaning producer, 1997. Well, I can’t get too upset with my call! Really tasty stuff. Drink now through 2032. — 4 months ago
The kind of wine you’d want to serve or gift to leave an impression. A solid, smooth & very well balanced Italian red. Smooth on the nose - smoother on the palette. Mature red fruit with a soft touch from start to finish. Incredible glass with a red sauce meal but this can also stand alone. Just wow — 10 days ago
My first white bottle selection wasn’t available so I chose this instead. Not a bad consolation prize: apple, white peach, citrus nose, medium body, engaging acidity backed by minerality. Great accompaniment to the table’s seafood and chicken entrées. — 3 months ago
