The photo does the wine no justice. Also consumed at our farm table dinner, this is from a winery we’d visited earlier in the day. In the same family since the French Revolution, Mas Gourdou is a small operation producing a nice variety of Pic Saint Loup wines. This bottling, made up of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre, spends 12 months in used French Oak and offers up ripe berries on the nose with a silky palate of spice, earth and brambly fruit. A beautiful evening shared with the family - so fun to watch the appreciation of wine growing in the kids! — 8 years ago
Great value! Go find yourself a bottle or better yet, a case. — 8 years ago
Crisp, floral and fruity with a touch of sweetness, green apple and lemon notes, would be great with some spicy food. — 3 years ago

Enjoyed with unexpected but warm welcomed guest. As wine with the pasta as without great drinking pleasure. Mocca, chocolate and coffee nose. Smooth and sweet tastes. Tannins still there but not disturbing. THANKS for bringing it along Berry! — 8 years ago

Really delicious. Saving for memory. Great value too — 8 years ago
Incredibly powerful black currant from the start. I get a bit of herb and smoked meat after a while. Violet then raw licorice all the way taste wise. — 8 years ago
