There's a hint of the unicorn in finding a couple random bottles of this, near its 20th birthday, in a wine store in Ireland. And this is drinking beautifully with notes of meat, olives, smoke and liquorice. There's great lift on the palate with good acidity and just a little dryness on the finish. Hot summer evening after work . Paired nicely with cooked summer beans olive oil lemon juice and fresh mint . Polaine rye and wheat bread with cashel blue cows milk cheese from Ireland . The wine chilled was indeed yum — 11 years ago
