Deep garnet. Nose: flowers, beef jerky. Tastes of black cherries. — 7 years ago
Zoom event with Drew Bledsoe and Josh McDaniels. Vertical from ‘07, ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘17 estate, and ‘18. All were exceptionally smooth and silky with good depth of fruit. Notes on the ‘17: 87% CS, 7% Merlot, 6% petite Verdot. Tobacco and raspberry on the nose, blackberry, raspberry and oak on the plate with a long fruity finish. The least earthy of the bunch tonight. Still young, will benefit from additional age. — 5 years ago
This wine is really nice and represents more of an "old school" style of CS. Dark berry fruit is present but not the star! Earth and minerals mingle nicely...pencil lead..eucalyptus..leather..
Cola..Bakers chocolate..oak.& cherry compote!

Nose: Cherry with a hint of baking spices
Body Light body- (CS on training wheels)
Palate: Acidity forward (which could be part of the BC flavor) hints of dark fruit, like plum and blackcurrant Would pair well with: Meatball w/red sauce. Prosciutto and mozzarella cheese. Potato Skins w/bacon, and bacon wrapped scallops — 3 years ago
The 15’ bottling sees Petit Verdot leading this Bordeaux blend at 32%, with 26% CS, 26% Merlot, 13% CF, and 3% Malbec.
Complex and deep nose of blackberry, cassis, fig, dry pine cone, dark soy source, butterscotch, thyme, black pepper, with hint of violet. The palate, while delicious and smooth, lacks the depth I expected. Finely grained tannins lead to a long peppery finish.

Austin BBQ is amazing!!!....Enjoying this Oakville Ranch CS with brisket and pulled pork. Wish I had more bottles of this on the trip to try at other BBQ joints. BYOB joints are hard to find in Austin. — 6 years ago

Pretty light but quite round. Got a feeling of black currant. — 5 months ago
