Third red to sample from Mayo Family Winery. Dark and deep ruby red almost black. A little stinky on the nose to start, with some savory and gamey notes. Slight undertones of cassis. Lots of cherries on the palate, with a rustic twist to it. Rustic as in earthy and woody. Moderate tannins (7/10) with a good amount of acidity, not unbalanced. Moderate body with a slightly dry moderate plus finish. Drink till 2023. — 10 years ago
Some peach and other tree fruit, but also some lemon. It’s balanced. Sweet, but not so sweet. Off dry blend. Seems like it’d be good would with spicy food. — 5 years ago

Fresh and bright, nice tannic structure, a slight briny finish, great now but built to age! Thank you @Edmund Delaney ! — 10 years ago

This isn’t what the wine was but FM it was good with seafood tapas. Mia of Albariño, Txacoli and Godello. — 3 months ago
